Location
Monarto Safari Park is home to more than 500 exotic and Australian native animals, including many of Africa’s most impressive animals such as rhinos, lions, giraffe, meerkats and chimps.
Explore the open plains of the park and its abundant flora and fauna by discovering some or all of the 12 kms of walking trails and by hopping on the Zu-loop shuttle bus for a guided tour of the park.
As you travel around the open plains of Monarto Safari Park, you could be forgiven for thinking you’ve stepped out onto your very own African safari! The journey takes you through large open-range exhibits, allowing you to see the animals in a natural setting and to hear more from passionate guides!
To make the most of your visit, make sure you hop off at the viewing platforms, enjoy a keeper presentation or book an up-close Animal Experience for your opportunity to come face to face with some of our animals. Mingle with meerkats, experience the thrill of hand-feeding ginormous giraffe, feel the roars of lions reverberate through your chest or leap into the Land of Lemurs.

Getting Here
*__ From Adelaide by car__take the Monarto exit off the South Eastern Freeway to the Princes Highway and follow the signs. Approximate travelling time sixty minutes – distance approximately 70km from Adelaide CBD to Monarto Safari Park.
*__ From the East by car__take the Murray Bridge exit off the South Eastern Freeway through Murray Bridge to Monarto Rd and follow the signs. Approximate travelling time 15 minutes – distance approximately 14km from Murray Bridge to Monarto Safari Park.
*By Bus
- Want a bit more flexibility, LinkSA also offers 6 connecting services to Monarto Safari Park throughout the week.
- From Adelaide catch an Adelaide Metro Service to Mount Barker and connect at the Dumas Street Park ‘n’ Ride with a LinkSA service taking you from Mount Barker to Monarto Safari Park. Some weekend services are also available via the Mt Barker connecting services.

- Children under 15 years must be accompanied by a paying/supervising adult/concession during entry and at all times whilst inside the zoo grounds
- Concession tickets ID must be shown on entry
- Tickets are non-refundable. Changes to your booking may be considered 48 hours prior to your book
