Location
Melbourne’s Shrine of Remembrance is an iconic monument paying tribute to the soldiers who served in the military on behalf of Australia. The shrine is a place where families come to grieve the fallen and continue to honour the military community. Join a walking tour of the elaborate monument and unearth the moving stories and values that honour the ANZAC's of the past and present.
The Shrine of Remembrance tour runs for 45 minutes at 11am and 1pm. Delve deep into Victoria's history during this insightful tour.

Highlights
- Learn about the distinctive architectural features, statues, poignant inscriptions and building design from the Western steps
- Discover the history surrounding the Southern steps of the Shrine, uncovering the significance of this vantage point often overlooked by casual visitors to the Shrine
- The SS Devanha Lifeboat, a spectacular piece of history. The Devanha Lifeboat carried soldiers of the 12th Battalion and the 3rd Field Ambulances into Anzac Cove on the morning of 25 April 1915
- Visit the Shrine's Crypt to understand more about the many years of history encapsulated in this small space
- The Ambulatory, around the sanctuary are forty-two bronze caskets which hold the Books or Remembrance containing 89,100 names of all Victorians who served overseas during the First World War

- Tours do not operate on Good Friday, Christmas Day or ANZAC Day

- Children under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult
- Tour is not recommended for children under 6 years old. Children under 6 years old can participate free of charge
