Before the resorts, restaurants and spas turned up in Palm Cove, the area was known for fishing. The waters just off Palm Coven are a popular hang out for migrating fish who seem to be always keen for a nibble.

School Mackerel are common catches in the region as well as Barramundi, Giant Trevally and Queenfish. Some of the smaller catches include whiting, stripeys and yellowtail to name a few. Fishing in the area is great all year round so why not throw in a line and see what bites?
