Marokopa Falls

Often regarded as one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the whole of New Zealand, Marokopa Falls is a mesmerising cascade of water from a height of 35-metres. Located in the Tawarau Forest, which is just a short distance from the famed Waitomo Glow Worm Caves, the walking trail to the falls is both easy and scenic taking around 20 minutes return.

The walk to the fall is suitable for visitors of all abilities and it is fitted with benches conveniently placed along the way for you to rest. Come your arrival at the fall, you'llbe led to a large viewing platform which will provide you with incredible views of the waterfall as well as some fantastic photo opportunities. The return journey is completed on the same track making this an ideal stop over on a journey around the Waitomo region.
